Baldwin Rotary Club meetings moved to Lumberyard Arts Center

 | Published on Monday, November 18, 2013

The Baldwin City Rotary Club meets the first and third Wednesday of every month, but now they’ll be at the Lumberyard Arts Center. Each meeting starts at noon and goes until about 1:00 p.m. There is lunch and usually a guest speaker.  Anyone interest in joining should contact Ron Wright, club president.

Past guest speakers have included US Representative Jerry Moran, Baldwin City mayors, as well as business, education and community leaders. Riley Winkler, a Rotary member for the past ten years, said, “We find interesting speakers. Somebody who’s doing something not everybody knows about. It has been a great way to get to know the community and to keep updated on all the civic activities.”

The Rotary isn’t all about just listening to interesting speakers, though. They also have many projects that give back to the community.
